Confidentiality, in writing

Some of the machines we build go into rooms we're never told about, running work nobody describes to us. That's normal here, and it doesn't slow anything down.

Send us your NDA and we'll sign it before we see anything sensitive — a spec, a drawing, a workload description, or what the machine is actually for. Your paperwork, not ours.
We don't name customers. No logo wall, no case studies, no "trusted by" strip — not on this page and not anywhere else on this site. If that's frustrating while you're evaluating us, it's also exactly what you'd want us saying about you.
Data handling on repairs and upgrades. If a machine comes to us with drives in it, tell us what you need — drives left untouched, pulled and returned to you, or wiped to your standard. We follow your instruction and confirm it back in writing.
A small, fixed team. The same handful of people quote, build, test, and support your systems. Nothing is subcontracted out, and there's no rotating bench staff handling your hardware.

“Fully tested” means we tested it

New parts fail. Not often, but often enough that shipping on the assumption they work is how a research group loses a week. Every system is assembled by hand on our bench and put through this before it goes out the door.

Motherboard bundles

Fully tested motherboard bundles. Processor, board, memory, and storage are assembled and firmware-updated as one unit, then tested together — because a board that posts alone and a board that posts with your exact memory and CPU are two different claims.

Memory

Fully tested memory. Tested for errors across its full installed capacity, in the board it will actually ship in. Bad memory is the failure that looks like a hundred other failures, so we rule it out first.

Graphics & accelerators

Stress-tested GPUs. Run under sustained load until they're hot and staying hot — not powered on, checked for a display signal, and boxed. That's how you catch a card that's fine for thirty seconds and unstable at temperature. Cards you supply get tested the same way.

The whole system

Burn-in under load. Once it's built, the finished machine runs under sustained full load so thermals, power delivery, and stability are proven together rather than component by component.

Before it ships

Firmware, drivers, and a clean install. Current firmware, the drivers it needs and nothing else, and no bloatware — or no operating system at all, if you image your own machines. Tell us which.

What we build

Specialized machines, one at a time or as a matched set. If it's in a catalog at a big reseller, you don't need us for it — if it isn't, that's the work.

Research & compute workstations

High-core-count processors, large ECC memory, multi-GPU configurations, and fast local storage — sized to the dataset and the software, not to a product tier. See workstations and AI systems.

Servers & storage

Tower or rackmount builds with large RAID arrays for datasets, checkpoints, and archives. Built to live in a closet, a lab, or a data room, and quiet enough for whichever one it is.

Hardware we don't stock

Network cards, HBAs, capture hardware, industrial and legacy interfaces, rack hardware. Put it on the parts list and we'll source and price it.

Matched sets

Several identical machines built to one spec and tested to the same standard, so a lab or an office gets a consistent fleet instead of a shipment of near-misses.

Systems around your hardware

Supplying your own accelerators through a manufacturer agreement or an existing contract? Send the model and count and we'll build around them, sizing power, cooling, and clearance to match.

Repair, upgrade & extend

Keeping specialized equipment alive past its vendor's interest in supporting it — upgrades, part sourcing, and repair on machines that can't simply be replaced.

How to get a quote

Most requests reach us as a document that already exists. Send it as-is — there's no form to translate it into first.

Send the spec, however it's written

Upload your spec sheet, parts list, bid packet, or RFQ on the quote request page, or type the components in directly if there's no document yet. Either way it reaches the same people. If confidentiality has to be in place first, email us and we'll sign your NDA before you send anything.

We price it as written — and flag what's wrong with it

You get the quote for what you actually asked for. If a line item is discontinued, back-ordered into next quarter, or a genuinely poor fit for the workload, we say so and propose an alternative. We don't quietly substitute parts and let you discover it at delivery.

Your purchasing process, not ours

Tell us what your office needs — a formal quote on letterhead, particular documentation, specific vendor forms completed, a reference number on every page — and we'll do it. We're a small independent shop, so the person handling your paperwork is the person who built the machine.

Built, tested, and delivered

We assemble and test it as described above, then ship anywhere in the continental US or hold it for pickup. After that you have a 3-year warranty and direct access to the people who built it, for the life of the machine.

Questions from purchasing offices

Will you sign a non-disclosure agreement?

Yes. Send us your NDA and we'll sign it before we see anything sensitive — a spec, a drawing, a workload description, or the details of what the machine is for. We've worked under NDA for years, and we don't publish customer names, logos, or project details, including on this page.

What kind of organizations have you built for?

Over more than thirty years we've supplied systems to federal research agencies, national laboratories, defense research programs, university research groups, and government at the town, city, county, and state level. We deliberately don't name them — several of those engagements are covered by confidentiality agreements, and we extend the same discretion to every customer. If a named reference is a hard requirement for your process, ask us and we'll tell you honestly what we can and can't provide.

What does “fully tested” actually mean?

Every system is assembled by hand on our bench and tested before it ships. Motherboard bundles are assembled and firmware-updated as one unit and tested together. Memory is tested for errors across its full capacity. GPUs are stress-tested under sustained load, not just checked for a display signal. Then the finished machine burns in under load so thermals and stability are proven as a system. Nothing leaves on the assumption that new parts work.

Can you quote from our spec sheet or RFQ?

Yes, and it's usually the fastest route. Send the parts list, spec sheet, bid packet, or RFQ document through the quote request page and we'll price it as written, including hardware we don't normally stock. If a line item is discontinued or a poor fit for the workload, we'll say so and propose an alternative rather than quietly substituting it.

Can we supply our own GPUs or other components?

Yes. Plenty of research groups and agencies buy accelerators on their own manufacturer agreements or off an existing contract. Tell us the model and quantity on the quote form and we'll build around them, sizing power, cooling, and chassis clearance to suit, and test the finished system with your cards installed.

How does purchasing work?

Tell us what your process requires and we'll work with it. We're a thirty-year-old independent shop rather than a large reseller, so quotes, documentation, and paperwork come from the same people who build the machines. If your office needs specific vendor forms or documentation completed before an order can be placed, ask and we'll complete them.

What warranty and support do these systems carry?

A 3-year warranty and lifetime support. You reach the people who built and tested your machine, not a call center queue — which matters when a system a research group depends on goes down mid-project.

Are you local, or do you ship?
