Why You May Want to Buy a New PC Sooner Rather Than Later

Why You May Want to Buy a New PC Sooner Rather Than Later

As we look ahead to 2025, we're closely monitoring the potential impact of new tariffs on the pricing of PC components and finished products. Here at JNCS, we understand that even small shifts in pricing can make a big difference to both our bottom line and to you, the customers we serve.

The proposed tariffs could increase the cost of key components—such as processors, memory, and storage—many of which are sourced from Asia. These price hikes would likely lead to an increase in our overall component costs, especially for custom-built systems that rely on high-quality, cutting-edge hardware. For us, the challenge will be finding the balance between absorbing these added costs and passing some of them onto our customers.

As a smaller company, we don't have the same volume or purchasing power as larger manufacturers, which means we may feel the effects of these tariffs more acutely. We may also face supply chain delays, as manufacturers adapt to the new tariff landscape. This could affect delivery times for custom builds, and in turn, create potential backlogs for customers looking for fast turnarounds.

That said, we remain committed to providing high-quality, reliable systems. While we can’t predict exactly how these tariffs will impact prices just yet, we’re constantly exploring ways to mitigate costs, whether that’s by sourcing components from alternative suppliers, adjusting build configurations, or offering more flexible pricing options.

At JNCS, we’ve always prided ourselves on working closely with our customers to meet their needs, and that won’t change as we navigate this new challenge. We’ll continue to keep you updated on how these tariffs might affect your custom PC or server build, and we appreciate your understanding as we adapt to the evolving landscape.

Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns about your next build or try out our Custom PC Configurator!
